Products We Service
We service various products including gaming consoles, laptops, desktops, audio equipment, and others. We DO NOT service cellphones or tablets. The repair request on a device may be declined and is at the technician's/owner's discretion. Please contact me at Chris@8bitrepair.com if you have any question about a device's eligibility for service/repair.
Please note that repairs completed by 8 Bit Repair LLC are considered third party to any manufacturer repair service, and would void any warranty that is still honored by the device's manufacturer. It is recommended to check if your device's defects are covered under manufacture warranty prior to submitting it for our repair.
Bench Fee
A "Bench Fee" is the cost of the technician's time to attempt to diagnose the fault of a device. Unless specified otherwise, devices requiring diagnosing prior to repair are subject to a Bench Fee. Items not subject to the fee include HDMI and charging port repairs, controller stick drift and calibration repairs, and all other repairs where the fault is known or assumed.
Repair Estimates
When a device is brought in for repair, the fault will be diagnosed, and the technician will provide a cost estimate for the parts and labor (not itemized). Usually, the fault could be diagnosed over the phone or email or on the spot, and we can give you a rough estimate for the repair. The rough estimate is not binding and intended for informational purposes only, and the final cost could be more or less depending on the complexity of the fault. An official cost estimate will be given to you prior to the repair, which must be agreed to.

Estimates are for the fault described and agreed upon during the repair request submittal. If a new fault is discovered during the repair, it will be communicated to you with a new estimate to repair the second fault.
It is possible that the initial repair attempt quoted in the estimate does not resolve the issues the device is experiencing, uncovering additional work that may need to be performed. In such a case, you will be contacted and informed of the additional work needed, and with a new estimate.
Repair Time
We strive to make the repair process as quick as possible, to get you back to your gaming, work, projects, whatever as soon as we can. Depending on the current volume of work and the complexity of the repair, it is possible that the turnaround time for your device may be longer than anticipated.

HDMI and charging port repairs have an optional add-on for expedited/Same-day (allowing at least 2 hours) repair. If this commitment cannot be upheld, then the add-on fee will be waived.
